Aquilino Soriano | L.Ac


Aquilino Soriano started his health career as a massage therapist and went on to earn a Masters Degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1995. Aquilino specializes in NAET, an allergy elimination technique which proves successful with both children and adults of all ages. Mr. Soriano utilizes Matt Callison’s motor point acupuncture for various orthopedic and sports injuries. Aquilino has worked and studied in Germany with a number of energetic hands on healers and integrates this into his practice.

Jordan Allen | M.S., L.Ac.


Jordan holds a Masters of Oriental Medicine degree in Chinese Medicine and is licensed to practice acupuncture in the state of California. He is board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and assistant teacher of Treatment of Orthopedic Disorders, at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Jordan specializes in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics utilizing techniques such as postural therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, tuī ná, facilitated stretching, and prescribes herbal formulas personally tailored for the individual. Passionate about his work and giving back, Jordan works with Global Alternative Healthcare Project (GAHP), an international aid group which provides health care to underserved areas in the U.S. and abroad.

David Allen | L.Ac. DAOM

Pediatric Acupuncture
Specializing in the treatment of children with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. 


David Allen studied pediatric medicine under Alex Tiberi and is a standing faculty member of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where he teaches pediatric care through Chinese medicine.  He has studied in China and brings a wealth of knowledge into his practice. Children can be treated with or without needles through the use of electric stimulation of acupuncture points. David uses herbal medicine and acupuncture to treat pediatric disorders ranging from behavioral issues, to digestion and the common cold. David is available for consultation to find out if Chinese medicine would be an appropriate treatment for your child.

Yael Ben-Porat | L.Ac., DAOM


Yael’s initial interest in the diversity in approach to the human condition is evidenced by her early career choice to pursue a BA degree in Cultural Anthropology with an emphasis in the Anthropology of Medical Practice from UCSD. As Managing Editor of the Journal of Medicinal Food she has maintained her strong ties to traditional western science and medicine while forging to bridge the gap between what was once a great distance between Eastern and Western approaches to health and well-being. Certified as a licensed acupuncturist both by the California Acupuncture Board as well as nationally, she earned her Masters of Science Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. Yael employs a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Herbology, Tui Na, Qi Gong and postural alignment exercises, as well as diet and lifestyle modifications as needed to help her patients restore and maintain their health and well being. She has served a two-year Internship with Vasa Mik in the application of Acupunture Techniques to specifically address issues involving Orthopedic and Sports Medicine applications. Yael’s other interests include internal medicine, drug and alcohol addiction, women’s health/infertility issues, mental health (neurology), endocrinology, gastrointestinal dysfunction and pain diseases, immune disorders and overall illness prevention.

Yael believes that is is never too late in life to turn your health around and begin living a stronger more satisfying existence.

Victoria Rossi | L.Ac, MSTOM


Victoria Rossi is a California board licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a focus in Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and Family Medicine. She specializes in home labor induction to deliver the most comprehensive care and natural outcome possible.
Victoria has a passion for assisting women through their journey of pregnancy, including fertility, labor induction, and postpartum. As Victoria acknowledges the body’s natural preparation for labor, she offers in home labor induction to support a safe and healthy delivery and recovery. She collaborates with other birth professionals to provide the highest level of health care. Victoria has dedicated her studies to serve complete family wellness.

Shannon Wheelwright | L.Ac, MSTOM


Shannon Wheelwright is a Licensed Acupuncturist, herbalist and massage therapist. She loves the integration of Eastern and Western medicine, her passion lies in helping you to achieve your optimal health.

Shannon completed her Masters’ in Science of Traditional Oriental Medicine along with an Associates in Holistic Science at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego. She has studied under Aquilino Soriano, one of the founders and owners of AcuSport Health Center, learning orthopedic acupuncture, pain management, and allergy elimination techniques.

Shannons goal is to help patients achieve optimal health through a combination of Eastern and Western treatment modalities and empower them with education, promoting their longevity and well being.

Beth PurcelL | MA


Beth has Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies. Traditional botanical medicine was a primary area of her academic interest and research, particularly the indigenous use of enthnogens.  Following graduation, Beth went on to work for MedLink Corporation, where as Editorial Director she was responsible for their flagship publication, MedLink Neurology - the leading information resource for clinical neurology. Beth is a member of the National Center for Homeopathy and  is currently studying botanical medicine with David Crow L.Ac. Thomas Jones | M.S.,L.Ac.

Thomas is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. With a passion for Oriental Medicine Thomas became a Holistic Health Practitioner in 1994 and went on to establish a successful practice in Ocean Beach, CA, with a focus on Therapeutic Massage Integrations. He also spent five years as a lead therapist at the Chopra Center for Well Being in La Jolla, California practicing Ayurvedic Therapies. Thomas is well versed in the treatment of orthopedic disorders with two internships at UCSD treating collegiate level athletes, and working at Acusport in San Diego treating a variety of orthopedic issues.

Michael Bearden | Massage Therapist


Michael, a native of San Diego, was born and raised in the sparkling white sandy beaches of Coronado California, to a Navy household. In 2009 he changed careers and enrolled in massage therapy school at the International Professional School of Bodywork, located in San Diego. He primarily works using Tui Na and Chinese Medicine sessions, which are a blend of deep tissue and relaxing therapy styles. Additionally he has a Level 3 reiki certification, and does Jin Shin Acupretouch energy work. Along with pregnancy massage, and lymphatic drainage, he has a few other session styles under his belt. Most sessions help to create mobility and strength as well as flexibility and awareness for each individual’s body make up.
