Huatuojiaji Points: Vertebral Fixations and Facilitated SegmentsNZRA CPD 14 Hours Pending Date: September 25-26, 2010 | Time: 9AM – 5PM Location: Instructor: Matt Callison Course Objectives It makes one wonder how the great Eastern Han (dong han) dynasty physician Hua Tuo (110-207) understood the importance of needling the Huatuojiaji points to treat diseases of the organs and extremities. Vertebral fixations and facilitated segments help to explain, in western terms, what Hua Tuo knew in effect was the importance of palpating for tenderness and needling the Huatuojiaji points. This workshop will discuss the cause and effect of vertebral fixations and facilitated segments causing chronic soft tissue pain and organ (zang-fu) pathology. Treatment will consist of specific needle technique to the Huatuojiaji points, myotomal motor points, mobilizing the vertebral fixation complex and providing therapeutic exercises to hold the treatment. Combined with TCM differential diagnosis this successful assessment and treatment protocol is easy to learn and quickly applicable. |
