Elisabeth Gould received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. Elisabeth has apprenticed at AcuSport under Matt Callison L.Ac., since 2005 where she gained extensive training in sports medicine and motor point acupuncture in addition to orthopedic rehabilitation. For the past two years Elisabeth has also assisted Vasa Mik L.Ac., at AcuSport, gaining further training in sports medicine acupuncture.
During her training at Pacific College, Elisabeth spent a year interning at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Sports Medicine RIMAC Sports Training Facility, in addition to completing internships at San Diego Hospice, the Downtown San Diego Geriatric Clinic as well as the Downtown San Diego Free Clinic.
Elisabeth spent three years as a private student of Dr. J. Min Fan L.Ac., in the fields of internal medicine and Chinese herbology.
In addition to acupuncture and therapeutic massage, Elisabeth believes that yoga plays an important role in injury rehabilitation and prevention. As an avid practitioner of yoga for many years, Elisabeth incorporates the yogic principles of breathing, alignment and body mechanics into her treatments to help alleviate pain and tension, as well as the stress and anxiety that often accompany physical pain.
