Originally from San Diego, Caitlin graduated from Washington's The Evergreen State College in 1995. She earned her Bachelor Degree studying the human body, the environment and how the two interact. After college Caitlin taught a variety of health and environmental science programs to elementary thru high school students and facilitated ropes courses for both teens and adults. In 2000 she made a career change to work more directly with people and their personal healing. Caitlin became a massage therapist focusing on soft tissue injuries, chronic pain, and post surgery rehabilitation. The techniques she utilizes most in her massage practice includes sports massage, various deep tissue techniques, PNF stretching, tui na, visceral manipulation, pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, and craniosacral therapy. Her extensive education has gained her a certification from NCBTMB and a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) license. In 2002, she co-founded Santa Barbara Bodyworks Massage School and taught swedish, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, and deep tissue classes. Currently, Caitlin is pursing a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College with an emphasis in Sports Medicine.
In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys outdoor activities and exercise. She has competed in numerous marathons and triathlons, and also enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and yoga. Her personal endeavors have crossed over to a unique and intuitive understanding in her bodywork practice.
