Common Injuries to the Neck and Shoulder

Course Objectives:

This lecture/workshop will focus on the treatment and assessment of common injuries to the cervical region and upper extremity. This seminar greatly enhances the success rate in treating neck and upper extremity injuries by combining western and eastern diagnostic and treatment techniques. We will examine the mechanical “how and why” of specific injuries using orthopedic physical evaluations and manual muscle testing to assess the integrity of the musculoskeletal system. Treatment will consist of needle techniques to the involved motor and acupuncture points to balance the somatic system, rehabilitation exercises and herbal prescriptions.
